Workshop: Train a Machine
In order to evaluate machine learning projects correctly, hands-on experience with machine learning systems is essential. The workshop provides the opportunity to gain initial experience in dealing with data and ML systems using a small example. In sprints we train an ML system for the recognition of smileys. In groups, the participants carry out different tasks for the training of the ML system and share their experiences with the other groups.

Workshop: Smart Contracts
Smart Contracts are an often misunderstood concept from the world of Blockchain. Using concrete examples, it is not only easy to explain, but also to experience how they actually work.
As an introduction, we explain the role of Smart Contracts in Blockchains / DLT. Then we will use simple user stories from a Blockchain-based online content platform to show how Smart Contracts can be specifically designed. The participants simulate transactions and learn how Smart Contracts work with cards on a pinboard.

Workshop: The IoT Experience
To be able to do something, you have to understand it. To be able to understand something, you have to experience it. This is exactly what our workshop is about - experience the Internet of Things. We have prepared sensors and actuators that show you how easy it is to address them as IoT devices.
You will learn hands-on how to integrate different systems and interfaces using the Node-RED platform and how easy it is to integrate your own smartphone. Our goal is to give you a good insight into the IoT world in an entertaining and playful way and to inspire you to get started right away. Because only if you start to implement really many of your own ideas will you find the right ideas for your company.

Workshop: Method: Design!
Myndset is a card game and step-by-step method based on the process of design thinking, guiding the user through the process of ideation. Our goal is to empower people to create emotional ideas and shift their mindset while doing so. During 45 Minutes we want people to experience how working with Myndset Cards ignites their creativity and have them develop and present their ideas confidently.
Up to 50 people can participate in the workshop, but there is a twist to it. We have creative, stakeholder, and audience roles. All are an active part within the workshop. When people enter the room, they will be assigned certain roles. 25 attendees will be assigned with the creative role, and will have the pleasure to get creative and develop ideas using Myndset Cards. Up to 5 attendees will be assigned with the role of a stakeholder, while the rest of the audience will be acting as the jury later during the workshop.

Building privacy right into the core of your products is a sensible business move not just because GDPR says you have to: You'll reach the fast growing customer group of privacy-minded people while at the same time minimizing GDPR bureaucracy and compliance risks. We will enable you to make great digital products with minimal impact on your customers' privacy. You’ll get a legal primer on Privacy by Design in the GDPR before we dive into the concept of Privacy by Design. We're also going to share engineering strategies to put the concept to work when designing new products or services as well as our favorite Privacy Patterns for web development.
