She has been a member of the Bavarian State Parliament since September 2013.

Ute Schmid is a professor of Cognitive Systems at the University of Bamberg. She has more than 20 years experience in research as well as teaching in AI, especially in the domain of interpretable machine learning, hybrid AI and explainable AI. She worked at TU Berlin, University of Osnabrück and at Carnegie Mellon University. Ute Schmid is a member of the board of directors of the Bavarian Institute of Digital Transformation (bidt) and a member of the Bavarian AI Council (Bayerischer KI-Rat). Furthermore, she is head of the Fraunhofer IIS project group Comprehensible AI (CAI). Ute Schmid won the Minerva Gender Equality Award of Informatics Europe 2018 for her university. Since many years, she is engaged in educating the public about artificial intelligence and she gives workshops for teachers as well as high-school students about AI and machine learning. For her outreach activities, she has been awarded with the Rainer-Markgraf-Preis 2020.

Dr. Wieland Holfelder has been with Google since 2008 as head of the Google development center in Munich, where Google now employs more than 1500 people, many of whom work in the area of data security and data protection for Google services and the Google browser Chrome, as well as on the many other future Google products and Google services. Dr. Holfelder also leads the engineering activities around the topic of digital sovereignty for Google in Europe and is a member of the global Google Sustainability Board. Prior to Google Google Dr. Holfelder worked in Silicon Valley for over 10 years, including for Mercedes-Benz Research and Technology North America, Inc., most recently as Vice President and Chief Technology Officer. Before that he worked for ICAST Corporation and FVC.com, two Silicon Valley internet startup companies in the field of streaming video. After studying business informatics at the University of Mannheim, Dr. Holfelder and as part of his doctoral thesis in the field of computer science, he worked first at the IBM European Networking Center in Heidelberg and then at the International Computer Science Institute in Berkeley, CA. Dr. Holfelder was honored as a “GI Fellow” by the Gesellschaft für Informatik (gi.de).

Oliver Rolofs is Founder and Managing Partner of COMMVISORY, a Munich-based strategy strategic communications consultancy. He is also director of the Vienna based Austrian Institute for Strategic Studies and International Cooperation (AISSIC).

Prior to joining COMMVISORY he worked as Managing Partner of a strategy consultancy and earlier as a senior communications officer for the global consultancy firm Roland Berger. Earlier he was the longstanding Head of Communications for the internationally renowned Munich Security Conference where he also established the cybersecurity and energy security programs. Furthermore, he is co-founder of the annual Munich Cyber Security Conference (MCSC) and a regular moderator of events.

Dr. Susan Lindner hat ihre berufliche Laufbahn nach dem Abschluss ihres Studiums der Automatisierungs- und Systemtechnik und der anschließenden Promotion an der TU Ilmenau als IT-Consultant gestartet. Sie verfügt über mehr als 20 Jahre Erfahrung in unterschiedlichen Führungspositionen beim bayerischen Premium-Automobilhersteller BMW. Dabei trug sie internationale Verantwortung in der Business IT und initiierte und begleitete zahlreiche Digitalisierungsprojekte.
Seit 2021 bringt Dr. Susan Lindner ihre Erfahrung bei Bayern Innovativ ein. Dr. Lindner leitet das Spezialisierungsfeld Digitalisierung und die dazugehörenden Themenplattformen des ZD.B (Zentrum Digitalisierung.Bayern).
